Besser Associates is pleased to announce our newest online course Applied RF Engineering I - Circuits and Transmission Lines. This course, together with a second, system level course to be announced soon, will form the basis of our new Applied RF Engineering Certificate. The two courses together will cover a similar subject area as the RF Technology Certification program, but with a greater focus on numerical analysis and design techniques and less focus on test and measurement. The two programs are compatible in that one could either take the RF Technology Certification first and move on to the Applied RF Engineering Certification or
A new course gives engineers the background knowledge needed to integrate WiFi (IEEE 802.11) and/or Bluetooth functionality into their products. WiFi and Bluetooth RF Aspects: Standards, Systems, and Measurements is a two day course that will help your team understand how the radios work, and the types of problems that can occur. Background knowledge about indoor and outdoor propagation, modulation types, OFDM, and MIMO will enable your engineers to predict how your product will perform and avoid common mistakes. Current standards such as 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth EDR and LE are covered. The course is currently available for booking on-site at your facility both in the US and internationally.
Recordings of instructor Rick Fornes two day RF and High Speed PCB and EMI Design Fundamentals classroom course can now be viewed online at your convenience anywhere you have internet access. The class has been professionally video recorded and edited into segments that can be played back on any device that supports a web browser and Vimeo video streaming (web browser is required to enable access to the video).
Instructor Steve Best will present his new course, 5G, mm-Wave Antenna Integration & Test Techniques, this August 21-22 in San Jose, CA. This two day course provides participants with coverage of antenna, integration, test, and propagation topics associated with millimeter Wave (mm-Wave) and 5G applications. The course provides an understanding of antenna property definitions, antenna fundamentals and considerations, antenna types and mm-Wave propagation. The course provides information on how antenna properties and propagation characteristics affect communication systems. Topics also covered include how to test and measure mm-Wave antenna performance.
Instructor Orin Eliezer has developed a new course, Designing RF Transcievers in Extensively Digital SoC's which will be offered next May. Wireless consumer-market products, such as cellular transceivers, WiFi radios and Bluetooth devices, are being made available at ever reducing costs, while offering greater amounts of functionality and higher performance. This is made possible by increasing the level of integration and incorporating wireless transceivers with processors and other circuitry into a monolithic CMOS (SoC). In such environment, the transceiver architecture relies more heavily on digital logic and software algorithms when compared to traditional RF design approaches. This allows such SoC devices to leverage the benefits of the advanced nanometer CMOS fabrication processes while addressing the challenges associated with the implementation of RF functions in such environment. The constant introduction of new wireless standards, as well as the need to acco ...
For the past couple of years, Besser Associates has been offering a classroom video recording service to our corporate on-site customers. With this service, the live classroom course is recorded using a professional videographer. The recordings are then made available to additional students via our online learning management system.
Besser Associates now offers an "a-la-carte" option for learning the material from the online RF Technology Certification program. It is now possible to register for each of the four parts of the program individually. These are available to be started any time you choose to sign up. These consist of the same lectures and workbooks from the Certification program but do not include any live webcast tutorials.
Besser Associates is pleased to present a new course this November 2-6 on Modern Radar Systems. Instructor Christopher J. Baker co-edited Stimson's Guide to Airborn Radar, from SciTech Publishing. Don't miss this opportunity to learn the latest techniques, starting from basic principles all in one week of intensive training.
Instructor Rick Fornes will be presenting his newly revamped RF Fundamentals and Wireless System Techniques course this September 10-11 in San Jose, CA. As a new service, the presentation will be recorded and made available to enrolled students for review for a limited time after the course.
